Set a scheduled power policy

On the Power screen in the System Settings panel, click the Scheduled Power Policy tab to set power behaviors for idle timeouts (when no keyboard or mouse activity is detected) and to schedule tasks, such as shutdown and restart.

Set up power operation sync

By default, power operations on the hardware terminal and the cloud computer are independent. You can set a power operation sync policy to link them.

Sync from terminal to cloud computer

On the Power screen in the System Settings panel, click the Power Operation Sync tab. In the Terminal Power Sync section, enable Shut down cloud computer when terminal shuts down or Restart cloud computer when terminal restarts.

Note

This feature works only if the hardware terminal version is V7.10 or later and the cloud computer image version is V2.10 or later.

After you enable this feature, when you shut down or restart the hardware terminal, a pop-up window appears. It informs you which cloud computers will also shut down or restart along with the terminal. To stop this linked operation, click Cancel.

Important

We recommend enabling this option only if you have a single cloud computer. If you have multiple cloud computers, this linked operation might shut down or restart other active ones, potentially causing data loss.

Note

This feature works only if the hardware terminal version is V7.10 or later and the cloud computer image version is V2.10 or later.

After this feature is enabled, when you shut down or restart the cloud computer (including actions from the cloud computer card, the floating ball, or the Start menu in the cloud computer's OS), a prompt appears to inform you that the hardware terminal will also shut down or restart. If you do not want to perform this linked operation, you can click Cancel.

Set lock screen

Limitations

  • For all Personal Edition users and Enterprise Edition users with terminal versions earlier than V6.8, there are no limitations on lock screen features.

  • For Enterprise Edition users with terminal versions V6.8 or later, if the administrator disables Lock Screen Settings in the terminal's policy, you cannot modify settings on the Lock Screen panel.

  • For Enterprise Edition users with terminal versions V7.12 or later, the following limitations apply:

    • If the administrator disables both Lock Screen Settings and Manual Lock in the terminal's policy, you cannot perform any lock screen operations, including manual lock and auto-lock on idle.

    • If the administrator sets the Unlock Method to Unlock with PIN and selects Force users to set a PIN, you must set a PIN to continue using the terminal.

    • If the administrator sets the Unlock Method to Unlock with convenience account or AD account password, the PIN unlock method is disabled.

Procedure

On the Lock Screen screen in the System Settings panel, you can adjust the following lock screen settings:

  • PIN unlock: A PIN is an unlock code saved locally on the hardware terminal. Each terminal can have only one PIN. To protect your data, we recommend setting a PIN as soon as possible.

    Important

Make sure to remember the answers to your security questions. If you forget your PIN, try one of the following methods:

    • Method 1 (For all versions): Contact the Enterprise Edition administrator to restore factory settings or disable the lock screen policy.

    • Method 2 (V7.7.0 and later): Answer the security questions correctly to recover your PIN.

    • Method 3 (V7.7.5 and later): If the terminal is not managed, enter the wrong PIN five consecutive times, click Forgot Password on the lock screen, and then click Factory Reset.

    • Method 4 (V7.12 and later): Contact your administrator to clear your PIN remotely.

  • Cloud account unlock: For Enterprise Edition users with terminal versions V7.12 or later, if the administrator sets the Unlock Method to Unlock with convenience account or AD account password, you must use this method to unlock the screen.

    Note
    • The screen can be locked only when you are logged in.

    • Auto-login is disabled, and the PIN unlock method is also automatically disabled.

  • Auto-lock on idle: You can set a duration of inactivity (no keyboard or mouse input) after which the terminal automatically locks. This helps prevent unauthorized access when the device is unattended.

  • Show log out button on lock screen: If you enable this option, you can click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the lock screen to log out.
