Billing overview
App Streaming supports subscription and pay-as-you-go billing methods. This topic covers the billing formulas, billable items, billing cycles, and payment methods.
Billing
App Streaming supports the following billing methods:
Subscription: A prepaid method where you pay for resources for a fixed duration.
Subscription fee = Unit price of subscription resources × Number of resources × Subscription durationPay-as-you-go: A postpaid method that bills you for the resources you actually use.
Pay-as-you-go fee = Unit price of pay-as-you-go elastic resources × Usage duration
You must purchase subscription resources. In addition, you can opt to use pay-as-you-go elastic resources.
Billing composition
With App Streaming, you pay only for cloud app resources. A cloud app resource provides the compute power to run cloud apps. These resources are available in different specifications, which vary by vCPU, memory, and GPU configurations. You can select the resource specification, quantity, and region based on your end users' use cases. You can also customize the number of concurrent sessions per resource to optimize the experience for your end users.

Billing cycle
The billing cycle for subscription resources is the subscription duration (UTC+8). The following durations are available:

Subscription durations of less than one month are prorated based on a 30-day month.
Pay-as-you-go scalable resources are billed hourly, with charges calculated to the second.

Session connections and resource scaling
The scale-out policy is triggered by session usage, which is calculated using the following formula: Session Usage = Current Sessions / (Total Number of Resources × Concurrent Sessions per Resource) × 100%.

Go to the Billing Management console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Account > Cards and Coupons. On the Coupon tab, filter by Coupon Type to view your coupon details. Ensure the coupon status is Available and the order type is General.
Overdue payment
Subscription resources
Because subscription resources are prepaid, an overdue payment in your account does not affect their availability.
Pay-as-you-go elastic resources
Pay-as-you-go elastic resources are postpaid. If your account has an overdue payment, resources with active sessions are retained and continue to incur charges. This does not affect your subscription resources.
Resources with active sessions are retained and continue to incur charges. If you do not add funds to your account within seven days, all these resources are released.
Resources with no active sessions are released immediately.
Released resources cannot be restored. To avoid service disruption, you must promptly renew your subscription or add funds to your account. For instructions, see Add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account.
Renew subscription resources
Follow these steps to renew the subscription for your cloud app resources.
Log in to the App Streaming console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Delivery Group.
On the Delivery Group page, find the delivery group you want to renew. You can search for it by its status, name, or ID.
In the Actions column of the target delivery group, click Renew Resources.
In the Renew Resources dialog box, review the resource expiration time, select a renewal duration, and click OK.
On the Pay page, select a payment method and click Pay.
