Prevent post-trial charges
If you continue to use the cloud computer after your free trial quota is exhausted, you will incur charges. You can follow these steps to prevent this from happening.
During application
On the free trial application page, set the Policy for Used-up Hours to Auto Shutdown/Hibernate. A free trial cloud computer does not incur charges when it is in the Stopped or Hibernated state.
If you start the cloud computer again after it has been shut down or hibernated, you will incur charges.
After receiving the computer
If you have already received your free trial cloud computer and have set the Policy for Used-up Hours to Auto Pay-as-you-go, you can still change this policy in the Elastic Desktop Service Enterprise Edition console before your free quota is used up.
Log on to the EDS enterprise console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources > Cloud Computers.
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
On the Cloud Desktops page, find the cloud computer named Special Offer Purchase, click More in the Actions column, and select View/Add Users.
NoteIf you do not see any cloud computers on the Cloud Desktops page, you may have selected the wrong region. Switch to the correct region in the top navigation bar.
On the Cloud Computer Details tab, click Modify to the right of Exhaustion Policy.
In the Exhaustion Policy dialog box, select Automatically Stop/Hibernate and click OK.
NoteIf your free trial cloud computer has already started to use out-of-plan hours, changing this policy will have no effect. In this case, shut down the cloud computer as soon as possible to stop billing.
Conserve usage hours
The free trial cloud computer includes a monthly plan with 120 hours of usage. This means the free trial is valid for 30 days, and the cloud computer can be in the running state for a total of 120 hours.
To conserve usage hours, we recommend that you shut down the cloud computer when it is not in use. To prevent wasting hours by forgetting to shut it down, you can set a disconnection policy for the cloud computer. The following steps use the Windows client as an example.
Open and log on to the Windows client.
On the cloud computer card, click Manage, and then click Policy.
In the Disconnection Policy section, enable When this cloud computer is disconnected, select a duration, and set the Action to Shut down.

If you want to unsubscribe because you are concerned about incurring extra charges after your free quota is used up, you can set the policy for used-up monthly hours to auto shut down or hibernate before your 120-hour quota is exhausted. This ensures you will not be charged. For more information, see How do I prevent charges after my free trial quota is used up?.
