An image contains the operating system and configuration data required to create cloud computers. To create cloud computers in a different region or to back up data across regions, you can copy a custom image to a destination region.
Prerequisites
The custom image must have a status of Available. For more information, see Create a custom image or Create an image by using a snapshot.
Only custom images can be copied. System, shared, and community images cannot be copied.
Configure image regions
Log on to the Elastic Desktop Service Enterprise console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Custom Image tab of the Image page, find the target image and click Configure Region in the Actions column.
Alternatively, click the image ID and then click Configure Region in the Regions section of the image details page.
NoteThe number in the Region column shows the number of regions where the image is available. You can click the number to view details in the Region Details panel.
In the Copy Image panel, select one or more destination regions in the Destination Region section and click Copy Image.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
NoteYou cannot delete or share the image during the copy process.
The copy duration depends on the image size, network speed, and the number of concurrent tasks in the queue.
Click the image ID to view the region configuration progress in the Region section of the image details page.
