Enable Alibaba Cloud DevOps administrator sync

Because code is highly sensitive, operational permissions must be strictly controlled.

1. The Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization owner must go to Codeup and click global settings.

   Find global settings in the lower-left corner of the page.

   Note

   You can grant Codeup organization administrator permissions in two ways:

   • Only the organization owner can enable the Sync Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization administrators switch in Codeup's global settings. This action automatically syncs administrators from the Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization and grants them the organization administrator role in Codeup.

   • The organization owner adds an administrator in administrator settings > Add administrator.

2. The Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization owner enables the Sync Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization administrators switch in administrator settings.

   Note

   • After administrators are synchronized from Organization member management, they cannot be removed directly. To remove a synchronized administrator, you must first disable the "Sync Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization administrators" switch.

   • If a member is removed from the organization, Codeup also revokes their organization administrator role. If an organization has no owner (for example, due to account deletion), contact technical support for assistance.

   There are two types of administrators. Only an organization owner can add or remove administrators:

   • Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization owner

   • Codeup organization administrator

Disable Alibaba Cloud DevOps administrator sync

When you disable the synchronization switch, all previously synced administrators are immediately removed. Changes to administrators in the Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization are no longer automatically synced to Codeup.

Add Codeup organization administrator

An organization owner can add any organization member as a Codeup organization administrator, which grants them management permissions for all repositories within the organization.

In the left navigation pane, select administrator settings, and then click Add administrator. In the dialog box that appears, select the target user from the recommended list or find them by using the search bar. Click Add.

Remove Codeup organization administrator

An organization owner can remove an existing Codeup organization administrator. Upon removal, the system automatically revokes their administrator permissions, and their role is downgraded to a regular member. Their access is then limited to repositories they have permission to view or contribute to.
