Artifact cleanup
Clean up artifact storage by deleting artifacts in bulk, removing specific versions, or deleting entire repositories.
If your organization is running low on artifact storage, you can enable pay-as-you-go for more capacity. You can also view your artifact storage usage to identify consumption patterns and clean up unused or outdated artifacts as needed.
Alibaba Cloud DevOps Packages provides the following cleanup methods. Choose the one that best fits your scenario.
Repository retention and recycle policies
You can configure a retention policy in Alibaba Cloud DevOps Packages to periodically clean up artifacts that no longer meet your retention criteria, freeing storage consumed by old or unused artifacts. For more information, see repository retention policy.
You can also configure a recycle bin policy to automatically and permanently delete artifacts from the recycle bin based on your rules. For more information, see artifact recycle bin policy.
Bulk artifact deletion
You can manually delete unused artifacts in bulk or by specific version.
Delete selected artifacts
Go to the Packages home page > Repository > Artifacts. Select the artifacts to delete and click Delete Artifacts. This creates a bulk operation record, allowing you to track the deletion progress. Deleted artifacts are moved to the Artifact Recycle Bin, from which you can restore or permanently delete them.
Delete specific versions
Go to the Packages home page > Repository > Artifacts. Click an artifact to view its details, select the version to delete, and click Delete This Version. The deleted version is moved to the Artifact Recycle Bin, from which you can restore or permanently delete it.
Permanently delete from the recycle bin
Go to the Packages home page > Repository > Artifact Recycle Bin. Select the artifacts to permanently delete and click Permanently Delete. This creates a bulk operation record, allowing you to track the deletion progress. Caution: Permanently deleted artifacts cannot be recovered.
Repository deletion
You can delete a repository if it is no longer needed.
Go to the Packages home page > Repository > Settings and click Delete Repository. The deleted repository is moved to the Repository Recycle Bin on the Packages home page, from which you can restore or permanently delete it.
