This topic describes how to integrate Alibaba Cloud DevOps with DingTalk Docs to efficiently manage projects and team collaboration. The new Projex module in Alibaba Cloud DevOps supports enterprise-level and project-level integration with DingTalk Docs, simplifying enterprise-wide document collaboration and project asset management.
Prerequisites
First, create a project in Alibaba Cloud DevOps. Then, add the Alibaba Cloud DevOps app in DingTalk.
Use cases
The integration can be configured at three levels:
enterprise-level integration: Connects an Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization with a DingTalk organization.
project-level integration: Enables the DingTalk Docs service within an Alibaba Cloud DevOps project and lets you bind it to a team space in DingTalk.
task-level integration: Lets you associate DingTalk Docs with a task.
Enterprise-level integration
After binding your Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization to a DingTalk organization, you can view the document spaces that you have permission to access in the DingTalk Docs application.
If your DingTalk organization is not bound, the system prompts you to bind it and redirects you to the enterprise binding page.
After binding the Alibaba Cloud DevOps organization to the DingTalk organization, the system checks whether your DingTalk account is bound. If not, you are redirected to the Bind Your Personal Account, Join an Organization, and Receive DingTalk Messages page.
For each document space you can access, a card displays a list of your recently updated documents. This list excludes newly created documents. Administrators can also unbind the DingTalk organization.
Click a card or a link to open DingTalk Docs, where you can view and edit documents.
Project-level integration
After binding, you can access the list of team spaces bound to the project from the DingTalk Docs service.
Access control:
If you have permission to access a team space, its card displays a list of your recently updated documents (as shown in Figure ①).
If you do not have permission to access a team space, its card displays a permission-denied message (as shown in Figure ②).
Space management:
Users with permissions to manage project settings can unbind a team space.
Users with permissions to manage project settings can add team spaces.
When you click Add, a list of team spaces that you can access within the bound DingTalk organization appears. You can bind multiple team spaces to the project at once and search for spaces by name.
Task-level integration
In the related items section of a work item, such as a requirement or a bug, you can associate documents from DingTalk Docs.
After clicking Associate, a list of documents that you can access in your DingTalk organization appears. By default, the list shows your 20 most recently edited documents, excluding new ones. You can search for more documents by name and select one or more to associate.
Once associated, a list appears showing the document name and the user who associated it. If a document has been deleted or you lack the required permissions, a notification appears in the name field. Click a document name to open it in DingTalk Docs for viewing or editing.
