Upgrading from a previous version

Background information

Projex enables you to upgrade your organization from a previous version to the new version. Organization administrators can initiate the upgrade and use the new version for project collaboration and test management. To ensure the upgrade does not disrupt daily collaboration, review the description of the upgrade mode below.

Description of the upgrade mode

• When the upgrade starts, all projects in your organization are upgraded to the new version simultaneously.

• After the migration, members who access their original projects are redirected to the new collaboration page.

• Data in the new version cannot be synced back to the previous version. Do not revert to the previous version after the upgrade.

To help you assess the risks of upgrading, this section provides details about how data is mapped during the upgrade. This information helps you decide whether the upgrade is suitable for your organization.

Key data differences:

• Non-workflow projects: This feature is not available. Migration is not supported.

• Personal tasks: This feature is not available. Migration is not supported.

• Schedule service: This feature is not available. Migration is not supported.

• Sharing service: This feature is not available. Migration is not supported.

• Group service: This feature is not available. Migration is not supported.

• File service: This feature is not available. You can use the navigation service in the project settings to access the previous version.

• Test plan service: Migration of test plans is not supported.

• Private tasks: This feature is not available. You can download private tasks to your mailbox.

• Knowledge base: This feature is not available. The new version does not support associating projects with the Suosi knowledge base.
