The Files feature provides a central repository for all your project files.
In Alibaba Cloud DevOps, the Files feature offers more than just file storage; it also supports online image annotation and versioning.
In your Alibaba Cloud DevOps project, navigate to Files > Library > Pictures. Click an image file to open the preview. The Details panel on the right shows the file's version information and activity history.
The following example shows how this feature works.
After you open an image, you can annotate specific parts of it. Click "Comment" in the lower-right corner, select the area you want to comment on, and then write your feedback.
Add a colleague as a participant and mention them using the "@" symbol. This notifies them to review your feedback and make changes.
After your colleague makes the required changes, they can upload the revised file by clicking "Update Version" in the upper-right corner. This new version becomes the primary version.
If you ultimately decide that the first version is better, click the drop-down arrow to the right of that version and set it as the primary version.
The file repository always displays only the primary version of each file. This approach simplifies your workflow by reducing search and filtering time, ensuring that all participants are on the same page.
If you have not used this feature, we encourage you to try it.
You cannot delete individual file versions because they are all managed as a single item. Currently, to remove a specific version, you must delete the entire file.
