To help organization administrators protect valuable code assets, Codeup provides sensitive behavior detection for clear and immediate insight into potential risks.

Sensitive behavior detection
Sensitive behavior detection identifies security risks to your code assets by analyzing user activities. To use this service, a Codeup administrator must enable it on the page. This feature requires the Advanced Edition plan.
Once enabled, the system analyzes member activities and triggers alerts for abnormal behavior, helping administrators identify and address risks.
The service monitors for the following types of abnormal behavior:

Repository operations

Massive code pull

Abnormal repository deletion

Permission changes

Changes to organization administrators: Abnormally adding or removing an organization administrator or owner.

Changes to repository members: Abnormally changing member permissions or removing a repository member.

After you enable the feature, Sensitive Behavior Records appear in a table with columns such as Behavior, Type, Operator, and Notification Time. For any record, an administrator can select the Add to Allowlist action. You can also subscribe to internal message notifications for sensitive behavior alerts on this page. You can manage allowlisted behaviors on the Detection Allowlist sub-tab.
An intelligent algorithm identifies abnormal behavior based on historical data. These findings are for reference only; an administrator must evaluate them before taking any action.
