Materials required for manual review

If automatic verification fails and manual review is needed, prepare the following materials in advance:

1. CHSI (Xuexin) screenshot — Must include the CHSI logo, student photo, name, national ID number, enrollment status, and all information must be clearly visible. If CHSI does not have your photo, you must also provide a photo of yourself holding your national ID card.

2. Student ID card or alternative documents:

   • Preferred: A photo of yourself holding the front of your student ID card, showing your upper body and the student ID information page (with photo, seal, student number, and name).

   • Alternative: If your student ID has not been issued yet, you may use a student card or other official school document that includes your student number, name, and photo.

   • Note: The cover of an admission notice is generally not accepted as the sole valid credential and must be accompanied by other materials.

3. Overseas or special documents — International students or users with non-mainland China IDs must provide a combination of passport or travel permit, student ID, and admission notice.

Benefits available after verification

You can visit the Alibaba Cloud University Support Program and claim a CNY 300 no-threshold voucher, which can be used to purchase subscription and pay-as-you-go products in the Student Voucher Center.

How to claim

After successful verification, visit the Alibaba Cloud University Support Program page and click to claim in the University Student Benefits section.

Troubleshooting

• Check verification status: Log on to Account Center and confirm that the Student Verification status shows Verified.

• Claim limit: Each national ID can claim the CNY 300 voucher only once per year (365 days). If you have already claimed it and it has not expired, you cannot claim it again. If it has expired, you can claim it again.

• System delay or redirect failure: If verification was successful but the page shows that you cannot claim, try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser.

• Benefits disappeared: If benefits are no longer showing after login, check whether you are logged in with the correct account. Refer to the ID already bound to another account FAQ to recover your original account.

Student enrollment information not found

This may be due to delays in CHSI data synchronization or inaccurate information. Try the following:

• Check that the personal information you entered during verification (such as name, national ID number, enrollment year) matches the information on CHSI.

• Confirm that your school is within Alibaba Cloud's partner school network. Not all schools support Alibaba Cloud student verification.

• Wait for a period of time, as enrollment information updates may take some time to synchronize to Alipay.

Identity already verified under another UID

Reason: Each student (identified by national ID number) can verify only one Alibaba Cloud account. Once verified, it cannot be canceled or transferred. If you see this error, another Alibaba Cloud account under this national ID has already completed student verification.

Solutions:

• Recover original account: We recommend using the account that has already completed student verification to enjoy benefits. If you have forgotten the original account login name, visit the Recover Login Name page to recover all Alibaba Cloud accounts under your national ID. After obtaining the login name, you can reset the password on the Reset Password page and log on.

• Manual appeal (special cases): If you need to transfer verification to the current account (for example, the original account cannot be recovered or has been canceled but has benefit conflicts), prepare the materials listed in Materials required for manual review above and submit a ticket for backend manual review.

Verification failed with real-name mismatch or account abnormality

Troubleshoot based on the following scenarios:

Alipay and Alibaba Cloud real-name information mismatch

• Ensure that Alipay real-name verification information matches Alibaba Cloud account real-name verification information exactly (name and national ID number).

• If Alipay real-name information is incorrect, contact Alipay customer service to modify it. If modification is not possible, consider changing Alibaba Cloud account real-name verification or using a correctly verified Alipay account to scan.

• For international students, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan residents, or users with special documents that cause automatic verification failure, submit a manual review request with a CHSI screenshot, a photo holding your student ID card or student card, and a photo holding your passport or ID card.

Account abnormality or risk control restrictions

If you see Account abnormality or Does not meet eligibility standards (for example, suspected malicious resource usage), use the Self-Service Tool to diagnose and submit appeal materials. A specialist will review within one business day.

Browser or network issues

If the page cannot be opened or verification is unresponsive, try using Google Chrome in Incognito mode.

Enrollment or graduation date does not match

• Month selection: If the actual enrollment month (for example, September) is not available in the dropdown options, select the closest month (for example, August or October). This does not affect the verification result.

• Information modification: After successful student verification, verification information (such as graduation date) generally cannot be modified by the user. If you entered incorrect information but have already passed verification, the system's Verified status takes precedence and does not affect your use of benefits.

Does changing the bound phone number affect verification

• Verification follows the account: Student verification is bound to the Alibaba Cloud account (UID), not directly to the phone number.

• Impact of changes: After changing the security phone number bound to your account, student verification remains under that account. You can use the new phone number to log on and continue to enjoy student benefits.

Teacher verification and Chaoxing Xuexitong binding

Teacher verification

Alibaba Cloud currently provides only student identity verification and does not support teacher identity verification.

Chaoxing Xuexitong binding

• Each Alibaba Cloud account can be bound to only one Chaoxing Xuexitong account (one-to-one correspondence).

• To bind your account, refer to the relevant course guide or visit the binding page directly.
