migrate-controller-Container Service for Kubernetes(ACK)-阿里云帮助中心

migrate-controller is a component built on the open-source Velero project. It is deeply integrated with Alibaba Cloud ECS snapshots and Cloud Backup to provide backup, restore, and migration for your data and application templates. This topic describes the migrate-controller component, its usage, and its change log.

Overview

To install the migrate-controller component, see Install migrate-controller and configure permissions.

migrate-controller backs up Kubernetes applications and persistent volumes (PVs). You can filter resources for backup by namespace, label, or resource type. For data protection, you can create disk snapshots or use Cloud Backup for file-level backups. The component also reduces your recovery time objective (RTO) by converting snapshots for faster restoration.

Usage

Use the migrate-controller component to back up, restore, and migrate applications. For more information, see Back up and restore applications and Migrate applications across clusters in the same region.
