You can create a cluster in the access layer to implement failover and failback, and to distribute traffic across nodes to handle traffic spikes. This topic describes how to create an MSE Cloud Native Gateway cluster in the access layer.
Prerequisites
An MSE Cloud Native Gateway has been created and added to the MSHA platform. The Cloud Native Gateway and the MSHA access layer cluster must be in the same region. For more information, see the following topic:
The MSHA plugin is installed on the MSE Cloud Native Gateway. It must be named "msha-router", as MSHA requires this name to identify the plugin. For more information about how to install a plugin, see the following topic:
NoteThe msha-router plugin is not yet available in the plugin marketplace. Contact customer support to obtain it. After you obtain the msha-router plugin, see the following topic:
Create a Cloud Native Gateway cluster
Log on to the MSHA console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
The Cloud Native Gateway Cluster page appears, showing information about the logical data center.
Click the tab of the destination unit. Then, in the upper-right corner of the page, click new cluster.
In the new cluster panel, configure the following settings and click OK.
Set the cluster name.
Select a Cloud Native Gateway.

The new cluster appears on the tab of its corresponding unit.
