API Gateway can send event streams to clients for real-time data delivery.
Procedure

Log on to the API Gateway console. Select a region and in the left navigation pane, choose API Groups.

On the API Groups page, click the name of an API group.

On the API group details page, locate the Data Transmission Settings section and click Modify on the right. Select the Enable Stream Transmission checkbox. After you enable this option, API Gateway forwards streaming responses from the backend directly to the client without caching them.
Stream transmission is incompatible with the error code mapping plugin and the cache plugin. If these plugins are enabled, stream transmission does not work.
For dedicated instances purchased before February 20, 2025, if this feature does not work, submit a ticket to upgrade the instance version.
