Modify basic information of a self-managed database

After you import a self-managed database instance, you can modify information such as its name, address, and service port. To modify the basic information of database instances in your account or a member account, use the console of the respective database service.

1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Bastionhost instance is located.

2. In the list of Bastionhost instances, find the target instance and click Manage.

3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assets > Database.

4. In the list of database instances, click the name of the target instance in the Database Instance Name column. On the Basic Info tab, modify details such as the database instance name, address, and service port, and then click Update.

Modify the O&M address

You can use Bastionhost to set the O&M address of a database instance to a public endpoint or an internal endpoint.

1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Bastionhost instance is located.

2. In the list of Bastionhost instances, find the target instance and click Manage.

3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assets > Database.

4. In the database instance list, select one or more database instances to change. Below the list, choose Batch > Change O&M Address.

   • Set to public endpoint: Bastionhost connects to the database instance via its public endpoint.

   • Set to internal endpoint: Bastionhost connects to the database instance via its internal endpoint.

Delete a database instance

1. Log on to the Bastionhost console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your Bastionhost instance is located.

2. In the list of Bastionhost instances, find the target instance and click Manage.

3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Assets > Database.

4. In the list of database instances, select one or more instances to delete. Click Delete at the bottom of the list, and then click Delete in the confirmation dialog box.
