Application resource planning
Background
Alibaba Cloud offers a wide range of products across multiple regions, each divided into several availability zones. Product support, instance types, and availability can vary significantly between zones. When deploying an application on the cloud, you often use many cloud products. You must select products and their specific instance types based on your business requirements, and then find availability zones that support your entire selection, making effective resource planning essential.
Solution
CADT addresses these challenges with its application resource planning feature. Based on your selected products and instance types, CADT quickly finds which availability zones support your entire configuration, significantly improving planning efficiency. In the Application Resource Planning dialog box, set Region to China (Hangzhou), and set both Region Source and VPC Source to create. Select the same-region dual-AZ checkbox. For the ECS-1 configuration, set Payment Method to pay-as-you-go, set Instance Type to ecs.c5.xlarge (4c 8g), and set System Disk Type to Ultra Disk. After you click Calculate Availability Zones, select a target zone from the Selectable primary availability zone drop-down list (for example, China (Hangzhou) Zone I or China (Hangzhou) Zone G), and then click Generate Architecture Diagram.
