The Send a Viber Message component sends Viber messages and lets users reply with Viber-specific features.

Send a Viber Message

Prerequisites

To configure this component, access the flow canvas by using an existing flow or creating a new one.

  • Go to the canvas of an existing flow

    In the Chat Flow > Flow Management > Flow Name

  • Create a new flow to open its canvas. For more information, see Create a flow.

Procedure

  1. Click the Send a Viber Message component icon on the canvas to view the component configuration panel on the right.

    In the configuration panel, the available variables section lists five variables: incomingMessage, wabaId, wabaPhoneNumber, customerPhoneNumber, and customerName. In the sending settings section, set Action to Reply. In the message settings section, set Message Type to Text and enter the message content in the content text box. After you configure the component, click Save at the top to save the flow.

  2. Configure the component parameters as needed. For more information, see Parameters.

  3. After you finish the configuration, click Save. In the dialog box that appears, click Save.

Sending settings

Configure how the message is sent.

Important

When the trigger method is manual, the send setting must be From/To.

Description

Action

The action to perform. Valid values: From/To and Reply.

Message Type

The message type. Valid values: transactional message and marketing message.

  • Transactional message: Supports only plain text content.

  • Marketing message: Supports rich media content, such as images, videos, and files.

Sending Type

Whether to send the message by using a Service ID or a variable. If you select variable, you must specify the variable to use.

Channel

The Viber channel from which the message is sent.

Recipient

The message recipient. You can enter a phone number directly or select a variable.

Message settings

Select a message type. Options include Text, Text and Button, Image, Text and Image, Text, Image, and Button, File, Video, Text and Video, Text, Video, and Button, and Template.

  • If the message contains an image, you must enter the image URL.

  • If the message contains a file, you must enter the file URL, name, and type.

  • If the message contains a video, you must enter the video URL, expiration period, file size, and thumbnail URL.

  • When the message type is template, select a message template. You can click the Preview button to preview the template content.

Click + Insert Variable to insert a variable into a URL.

Timeout settings

Enable the undelivery and unread branches to set custom timeout periods and configure fallback actions for undelivered or unread messages. For example, you can add a Send an SMS Message component to the undelivery branch to send the message by SMS instead.

For example, set the timeout for the Enable undelivery branch option to 30 seconds, and set the timeout for the Enable unread branch option to 60 seconds.

A custom identifier used to tag and track a specific message.
