Change the .NET Framework version

You can change the .NET Framework version to meet the specific requirements of your web application, resolve compatibility issues, or address performance and security issues with the current version.

Procedure

Note

This topic applies only to Cloud Web Hosting instances that run the Windows operating system.

  1. Log on to the Cloud Web Hosting management page.
  2. Find the Cloud Web Hosting instance you want to manage and click Manage in the Actions column.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Advanced Environment Settings > .NET Version Settings.
  4. On the .NET Version Settings page, select a .NET Framework version and click Save Settings.

    The available .NET Framework versions include: V1.1, V2.0/V3.0/V3.5 (Classic), V2.0/V3.0/V3.5 (Integrated), V4.0/V4.5 (Classic), and V4.0/V4.5 (Integrated).

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    After the .NET Framework version is changed, a message appears at the top of the page, confirming that the settings are saved.
