This topic describes how to install the software probe for Cloud Managed Network (CMN).
Architecture
The following figure shows the architecture of Cloud Managed Network (CMN).
Installation instructions
After you purchase the Cloud Managed Network (CMN) service, a CMN instance is created. Each instance can manage multiple network devices, up to the limit selected at purchase. You can access the CMN instance from the console to download the CMN probe. Then, install the probe on your server. CMN uses this server to monitor and manage your on-premises network devices.
Log on to the CMN console.
In the top-left corner of the navigation bar, select the region of your instance.
-
On the instance list page, find the target instance and click its instance ID.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Probe Management.
-
In the top-right corner of the probe list page, click the probe download and installation button. In the dialog box that appears, select the system type of your server to view the system requirements and installation steps. This topic uses a Linux server as an example.
Download the CMN probe and upload it to your server.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
-
Check the status of the probe service. A status of Running indicates that the probe service started successfully.
