Proactive alerting lets you enable alerts for key metrics for your cloud services with a single click. This helps you build an alerting system to detect and respond to issues in real time.

Background

For a list of cloud services and alert rules supported by proactive alerting, see Proactive Alerting List.

Keep the following in mind when you enable the proactive alerting feature:

  • When you enable proactive alerting for a cloud service, Cloud Monitor enables all its preset alert rules by default and automatically creates an alerting system for the specified metrics.

  • After you enable proactive alerting for a cloud service, its alert rules apply to both existing instances and any new instances you create.

  • After you enable proactive alerting for a cloud service, you can modify, delete, or disable the preset alert rules.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Proactive Alerting.

  3. On the Proactive Alerting page, find the target cloud service and turn on the Proactive Alerting switch.

    Note

You can also enable or disable proactive alerting for ECS instances on the ECS console. For more information, see Enable Proactive Alerting.

  4. Click the expand icon 下拉按钮 next to a cloud service to view its alert rules.

Related operations

To manage the preset alert rules for a cloud service, click Disable, Modify, or Delete in the Actions column.
