Intelligent threshold trial rules

Trial conditions

Accounts that meet the following conditions can enable the intelligent threshold trial:

• The account has not previously enabled the intelligent threshold trial.

• For accounts that have basic Cloud Monitor enabled and use the pay-as-you-go billing method, the number of existing intelligent threshold alert rules must be less than the trial limit of 100.

Trial duration

The intelligent threshold trial lasts for 90 days. The trial starts on the day you enable it. The trial ends at 00:00:00 on the 90th day.

Trial quota

• You can create a maximum of 100 intelligent threshold alert rules during the trial period.

• A single intelligent threshold alert rule can cover a maximum of 3,000 time series for a metric.

  When you create an intelligent threshold alert rule, the estimated number of time series that the rule will cover is displayed below the Set Rule Description panel.

If you exceed the trial quota, Cloud Monitor prevents you from creating new intelligent threshold alert rules and displays a notification.

Trial expiration

• After the intelligent threshold trial expires, Cloud Monitor automatically disables all intelligent threshold alert rules.

• You cannot enable or create intelligent threshold alert rules if your account uses the pay-as-you-go billing method but does not have basic Cloud Monitor enabled.

• If your account uses the pay-as-you-go billing method and has basic Cloud Monitor enabled, you can re-enable existing intelligent threshold alert rules or create new ones. Cloud Monitor charges for these rules based on the billing standards for intelligent thresholds. For more information about the billing standards, see Pay-as-you-go.
