Database Autonomy Service (DAS) provides the Performance Trend feature. This feature offers a wide range of performance monitoring metrics, supports custom charts, and includes powerful diagnostics capabilities that allow you to run diagnostics for a specific time range. This helps you better understand the operational status of your database instance.

Prerequisites

The target database instance is connected to DAS, and its connection status is Normal. For more information, see Connect an instance.

Features

  • The Performance Trend feature includes metrics such as Transaction Per Second (TPS), queries per second (QPS), and throughput.

  • The monitoring granularity, or frequency, of metrics depends on the query time range. A wider time range results in a coarser granularity.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DAS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Intelligent O&M Center > Instance Monitoring .

  3. Find the target instance and click the instance ID to open the instance details page.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Dashboard.

    • On the Performance Trends page, you can view the performance trends of metrics within the selected time range.

      • Click More Metrics to select the metrics that you want to monitor.

        Note

In a metric trend graph, click wenhao next to a metric to view its definition.

      • In any metric trend graph, you can drag your mouse to select a time range and then run a Diagnose on that range.

      • In a metric trend graph, click Details to enlarge the graph. You can also change the time range to view the metric's change trends.

    • On the Performance Trend Comparison page, you can compare the performance trends of the same metrics over different time ranges.

Click More Metrics to select the metrics for performance trend comparison.

    • On the Custom Charts page, you can create custom monitoring dashboards. You can add multiple performance metrics to the same chart for easier troubleshooting and analysis.

      1. Click Add Monitoring Dashboard, enter a Dashboard Name, and click OK.

      2. Click Add Node and Metrics, select the target nodes and the metrics to view, and then click the image.png icon.

      3. Click OK.
