This topic describes the billing methods, overdue payment policies, and other billing details for Offline Migration Service.

Billing methods

Offline Migration Service offers two billing methods: single-use rental and long-term rental.

Important
  • Micro Data Transport devices can be rented only in the Chinese mainland region.

  • Data Transport II devices can be rented only in the Chinese mainland region.

  • Data Transport III devices can be rented only in the Chinese mainland, China (Hong Kong), Singapore, and Indonesia (Jakarta) regions.

Important
  • Device rental fees for Data Transport cannot be paid with coupons.

  • Before placing an order, carefully estimate the data volume to be migrated and the number of usage days.

    • The billing method cannot be changed after an order is placed.

    • Refunds are not provided for devices returned before the end of the rental period.

Single-use rental

  • The billing methods for a rented cloud migration device are based on the migrated data volume or the number of rental days.

Long-term rental

Currently, only Micro Data Transport supports long-term rental. The minimum rental period is 3 months. Devices of different specifications have a monthly baseline volume. The billing rules are as follows:

  • If the monthly data volume migrated is less than the device's baseline volume, you are billed for the baseline volume.

  • If the monthly data volume migrated is greater than the device's baseline volume, you are billed for the actual data volume.
