Recycle bin list
Dataphin safeguards against accidental data table operations by retaining deleted tables in the recycle bin for 30 days. During this period, tables can be restored or permanently removed. This topic outlines the procedures for purging and resuming tables from the recycle bin.
View recycle bin list
Navigate to Administration > Resource Administration from the top menu bar on the Dataphin home page.
In the left-side navigation pane, go to Recycle Bin > Recycle Bin List to access the Recycle Bin List page.
On the Recycle Bin List page, review the pending list, processed list, and all page information.
To quickly locate a data table, use the search box to enter the table name. Alternatively, click the
icon after All, and select a project to filter the data tables.Parameter
Description
Table Name
The name of the table in the recycle bin.
Project
The project associated with the table.
Table Type
The category of the table, including both physical and logical tables.
Recycle Date
The date and time when the table was deleted and moved to the recycle bin.
Operated On
The date the table was permanently purged from the recycle bin.
Recycle Status
The Recycle Status indicates the current state of the data table within the recycle bin.
Purge table
Exercise caution when purging data tables as this action is irreversible and the tables cannot be restored.
On the Recycle Bin List page, click the Actions
icon next to the table you wish to permanently remove.In the Purge Data dialog box, click Confirm Delete to proceed with the purge.
Batch purge tables
Batch purging enables you to remove multiple data tables at once. Please be cautious as purged tables cannot be restored.
On the Recycle Bin List page, select the tables you wish to purge and click Purge at the bottom of the page.
In the Batch Purge dialog box, click Batch Purge. The purge is successful when the Status column indicates Succeeded.
Resume table
Restore mistakenly deleted tables or those you wish to return to their original location.
On the Recycle Bin List page, click the Actions
icon for the table you intend to restore.In the Resume Data dialog box, click Confirm Resume to complete the restoration.
Batch resume tables
Batch resume allows for the restoration of multiple tables simultaneously.
On the Recycle Bin List page, select the tables you wish to resume and click Resume at the bottom of the page.
In the Batch Resume dialog box, click Batch Resume. The process is successful when the Status column displays Succeeded.
View execution logs of data tables
On the Recycle Bin List page, click the Actions
icon for the table whose logs you want to review.On the Execution Logs page, examine details such as Executed By, Executed At, and Execution Content.
Click Confirm to close the Execution Logs dialog box.
