Import data classes from the template library
Dataphin provides built-in data classification models based on various industry standards. You can use these models to quickly create detection rules. This topic describes how to import data classes from the template library.
Manage the template library
On the Dataphin home page, choose Administration > Data Security from the top menu bar.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose General Configurations > Data Class. On the Data Class page, click the Template Library tab.
The Template Library tab provides multiple built-in data classification templates. These templates help you quickly select suitable options for different business scenarios, such as General Detection, Finance Industry Classification and Grading, Energy and Power Industry Classification and Grading, Internet of Vehicles Industry Classification and Grading, and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Classification and Grading.
Select a template library to view its data class information. The list on the left displays the data class folders in the selected template library. When you select a folder, the list on the right displays the data class information for that folder. This information includes the name/description, class abbreviation, data sensitivity level, and parent folder. You can also click All Classes to view all data class information in the template.
General Detection Template: Includes personal information, enterprise information, and sensitive device data.
Finance Industry Classification and Grading: Includes business, customer, and operations management classes.
Energy and Power Industry Classification and Grading: Includes personnel, security, customer, marketplace, materials, general, finance, asset, and project domains.
Internet of Vehicles Industry Classification and Grading: Includes basic property data, application service data, environmental perception data, vehicle control data, vehicle condition data, and default classification.
Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry Classification and Grading: Includes cloud (Internet of Vehicles cloud control platform), person (vehicle user information), ingest endpoint (driving records), and vehicle (vehicle status).
(Optional) In the upper-right corner of the template library, you can enter a keyword to search for a classification template by its name, description, or abbreviation. You can also filter data classes by Data Sensitivity Level.
You can perform the following operations on a target template.

References
If the classification and grading configurations in the template library meet your business needs, you can select the required class folders and their corresponding classifications and grades. This lets you quickly import and add them to the data class page for a fast start. For more information, see Import a data classification template library.
View
View the details of a data class, including its basic information, corresponding grading information, and scan method.
Import a data classification template library
You can import data class definitions from the template library in one of the following three ways: click the import icon next to a class folder, click the Batch Import and Add Data Classes button at the bottom of the folder tree, or select the data classes in the list and click Add to Data Class in the batch operations area. The following table describes the configuration details.
In the Batch Import and Add Data Classes dialog box, configure the parameters.
Parameter
Description
Classification Template
Select the template that contains the data classes you want to import.
Add to Folder
Select the folder to which you want to add the imported data classes.
Import Content
Select whether to import the data class folders as well. You can select Classes Only or Classes + Folders.
Classes Only: Adds all selected data classes to the specified folder in a flat structure. This is suitable for scenarios where the target location is clear.
Classes + Folders: Adds all selected class folders and their data classes to the next level of the specified folder, preserving the original hierarchical structure. This is often used for importing all content into the root directory. If the import exceeds the maximum folder depth limit, the operation fails.
Duplicate Classes
Configure the policy for handling conflicts when an imported class has the same name as an existing data class. You can choose to skip or overwrite.
Skip: If a class in the same folder has a name that conflicts with an existing class, the imported class is not added.
Overwrite: If a class in the same folder has a name that conflicts with an existing class, the configuration of the existing class is overwritten by the imported one.
Priority
The priority of the data class. The levels range from 1 (highest) to 5 (lowest). If classes have the same priority, the final effective class is determined based on the field detection results (class priority > detection record update time > class modification time).
Select Classes by Folder
Select the data classes to import based on their folders.
Click OK. The classes are imported from the template library.
What to do next
