Create a Ververica Flink compute source
A Ververica Flink compute source provides Ververica Flink-based computing resources (measured in CUs, including resource queues) for a Dataphin project. Only projects with an attached Ververica Flink compute source can develop computing nodes on the Ververica Flink engine.
Preparations
-
The current tenant has enabled Ververica Flink as the real-time computing engine. For more information, see Set the real-time computing engine.
-
Only accounts with custom user roles that have the Create Compute Source permission point and accounts with the super administrator and project administrator roles can create compute sources. For more information, see Data warehouse planning permission list.
Procedure
-
In the top navigation bar of the Dataphin homepage, choose Planning > Compute Source.
-
On the Compute Source page, click Create Compute Source and select Ververica Flink compute source.
-
On the Create Ververica Flink Compute Source page, configure the required parameters.
Parameter
Description
Compute Type
Select Ververica Flink.
Region
You can select System to choose from a predefined list of regions, or select Custom and enter the Region ID manually.
Access Method
You can select VPC Network or Public Network.
NoteThis parameter can be configured only when System is selected for Region.
Endpoint
Enter the endpoint of the custom region.
NoteThis parameter can be configured only when Custom is selected for Region.
AccessKey ID,AccessKey Secret
Enter the AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret of an account that has access to the fully managed Flink project.
You can find the AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret on the User Management page.
ImportantTo ensure connectivity between the Dataphin project and the Ververica Flink project, we recommend using the AccessKey of the Ververica Flink project administrator.
Flink Workspace ID
Select the Flink Workspace ID to associate with the compute source.
NoteBefore you select a Flink workspace ID, make sure the preceding parameters are correctly configured. Otherwise, the Flink workspace ID options are not available.
Flink Project
Select the Project to associate with the compute source.
Compute Source Name
Enter a name for the compute source. The name must meet the following requirements:
-
It can contain Chinese characters, digits, letters, underscores (_), and hyphens (-).
-
It cannot exceed 64 characters in length.
Description
Enter a brief description of the compute source.
NoteTo create multiple compute sources at once, click Create Compute Source again. You can create up to 10 compute sources at a time.
-
-
Click Test Connection to verify connectivity between Dataphin and the specified AccessKey ID.
-
After the test succeeds, click Verify And Submit. The system verifies the compute source connectivity and creates the compute source.
What to do next
After you create a Ververica Flink compute source, attach it to a project. For more information, see Create a general project.
