Validation records overview
Validation records capture the outcomes of Quality Rule validations run against Dataphin data tables, global data tables, metrics, data sources, and real-time metadata tables, providing a central place to review results for each rule.
Permission description
Super Administrators and Quality Administrators have access to all validation records.
Project Members can access validation records for the projects they belong to.
Ordinary members can access validation records for data tables where they are the Quality Owner. Ordinary members with a custom global role that includes Quality Rule-Management permissions can access validation records across any Account.
Operation permissions vary by object. For details, see .
View validation records from different perspectives
Dataphin lets you view validation records from three perspectives: Global, Project, and Personal.
Global: Super Administrators and Quality Administrators can view all validation records across the entire system.
Project: Super Administrators and Quality Administrators can switch between projects to view records. Project Members are limited to records within the projects they have joined.
Personal: Super Administrators and Quality Administrators can view records for any member. Ordinary members can only view records for which they are the Quality Owner and cannot switch to other perspectives.
If a Quality Rule has permission restrictions, those restrictions take precedence over other permissions.
In the Project perspective, only records under the selected project are shown.
In the Personal perspective, only records where you are the Quality Owner are shown.
