This topic describes the features of the range selector, a tool that you can use to quickly select geographic areas and generate data connections for them.

Select map data version |
Click the Data Version drop-down list on the right side of the page to select either the areas_v3 or areas_v2 map data version.

The map data on the range selector page comes from the Amap Open Platform.

Select area range |
Select an area on the map in one of two ways. The details of the selected area are displayed, including its Area Name and adcode value.
Method 1: Click an area on the map on the left. The selected area and its details appear in the area selection section on the right.

Drill down by clicking an area multiple times. You can drill down to the county level. To return to the previous level, click the blank space outside the drilled-down area.
Method 2: In the area selection section on the right, search for an area by name. The area is then selected and its details are displayed.

Select data format |
After selecting an area on the map, choose the data format for the area range. The following data formats are available:
JSON API: Click the icon to the right of the link to copy the API link for the JSON data.
GeoJSON API: Click the icon to the right of the link to copy the API link for the GeoJSON data.
Other types: If you do not need a data format with a system-generated API link, select Other types to save the GeoJSON data or the area graphic to your computer.
Click the icon to the right of the data content to copy all GeoJSON data for the selected area. Click the icon at the far right of the data content to download all GeoJSON data for the selected area to your computer.
Click the icon to the right of SVG to download the graphic content for the selected area to your local computer.
Note
When selecting a data format, check Include sub-areas to also select the data for sub-areas within the chosen range.
