This topic describes the main features of the DataV·Twin digital twin application. For more information, see the documentation for each configuration item.

Menu bar

This area contains the menu items for the digital twin application builder. It includes Twin Construction, Entity Modeling, Twin Assets, and Developer Center.

Workspace

This area contains the workspace and account management sections of the digital twin application builder. Switch between different workspaces to quickly edit digital twin applications. Click Log Out to log out of the current account.

Search applications

This area is for searching applications in the digital twin application builder. Enter an application name in the search box, or query by group. Click Edit Group to manage application groups.

Create Application/Data Source Management

This area contains the application creation and data source management sections of the digital twin application builder. Click Create Application, then enter an Application Name and select an Application Type to create different digital twin applications. Click Data Source Management to manage different types of data sources by category.

Manage applications

This area is the application management section of the digital twin application builder. It supports operations such as previewing, editing, moving, copying, downloading, deleting, and renaming applications.

Quick access

This area is the quick access section for applications in the digital twin application builder. By default, the system sorts applications in descending order by their last modification time. Click an application to quickly open its scenario editor page.

Top toolbar

This area contains the menu items for the scenario editor. It includes the menu entry, mode switching, layout management, and the global toolbar.

Hierarchy window

This area is the Hierarchy window. It mainly contains twin elements, city elements, and environment elements. Click the image.png icon in the upper-left corner to add different objects.

  • Add objects to twin elements by adding null objects, basic shapes, built-in objects, lights, cameras.

  • Add city elements such as water bodies, ground, roads, buildings, vegetation, and green spaces using Import City Environment Data, Import High-Precision Road Network Data, and Import 3D Tiles.

  • Add environment elements by adding the environment class from Import City Environment Data. Currently, only terrain is supported.

Scene window

This area is the scene management window. It displays 3D objects. Drag objects with the mouse to arrange them in the window for visual scene editing.

Inspector window

This area is the Inspector window. It displays the property values of the currently selected object and lets you view and modify them. There are two types of inspectors.

  • Object Inspector: The Object Inspector appears when you select an object in the Hierarchy or 3D scene.

  • Widget Inspector: The Widget Inspector appears when you select a resource in the widget management panel.

Digital Twin window

This area is the Digital Twin window. This window is used for digital twin asset management. This includes adding, editing, and deleting digital twins, and generating digital twin instances.

Map window/Resource window

This area contains the Map window and the Resource Management window.

  • The Map window is a 2D display of city elements. You can select and edit city elements. The results of selections and edits are also displayed in the 3D Scene window.

  • The Resource Management window displays the current project resources by default. Newly created resources appear in the current project resources. In addition to project resources, other package resources are built-in. Click the image.png icon to switch to other resource plans to view and use them.

This area is the Layer management window. You can move, copy, delete, lock, and hide layers.

Canvas editor window

This area is the graphics editing window. It displays graphics. You can move and scale graphics by dragging them with the mouse.

Inspector window

This area is the Inspector window. It displays the property values of the currently selected layer and lets you view and modify them. There are three types of inspectors.

  • Object Inspector: The Object Inspector appears when you select a widget on the canvas.

  • Widget Inspector: The Widget Inspector appears when you select a widget on the canvas.

  • Logic Inspector: The Logic Inspector appears when you select a widget on the canvas.

Widget library window

This area is the Widget library window. It includes but is not limited to charts, information, tables, controls, and media.

Canvas inspector window

When no layer is selected on the canvas, this window displays the canvas size, scaling method, and logical configuration items for the canvas.

Processing node management

This area is the processing node management window for physical connections. You can view the list of created digital twins and data sources in the current scenario. You can also add new data sources.

Editing canvas

This area is the canvas editing window for physical connections. You can drag content from the processing node window here to process it. Processing types include configuration-based processing and code-based processing.

Configuration panel

This area is the configuration panel window for physical connections. After you set the processing method in the editing canvas window, you can configure parameters in the configuration panel. This includes but is not limited to digital twin object settings, spatial position, property settings, and scheduling settings.
