Set a credit rating limit to prevent unauthorized use from driving up your account's credit rating and causing unexpected spikes in outbound email volume.

Set the credit rating limit

The credit rating limit caps the highest credit rating your Direct Mail account can reach. Without a limit, unauthorized access to your account can cause the credit rating to rise rapidly, leading to a sudden surge in outbound email volume. Once the account reaches the limit, the credit rating stays fixed until you raise the limit.

To set the limit, go to the Overview page of the Direct Mail console.

The default maximum credit rating is 10. The value you set cannot be lower than the current credit rating.
