The global search feature of Data Management (DMS) lets you quickly search for instances, databases, and tables that you manage in DMS, along with DMS features. You can also view tickets submitted by all users in the current tenant. This topic describes how to use the global search feature.
Precautions
When you search for a table in the global search box, ensure that the control mode of its database is Security Collaboration. Otherwise, the table will not appear in the search results. For more information about control modes, see Control modes.
NoteWhen you search for instances or databases, there are no restrictions on the control mode.
If you cannot find a data asset, such as an instance, database, or table, using the global search feature, manually sync the dictionary for the asset. For more information about how to sync a dictionary, see Sync a dictionary.
