Instance specifications and billing
This topic describes the primary instance specifications for Time Series Database for InfluxDB®, including the latest and historical specifications.
Storage prices
Time Series Database for InfluxDB® offers three storage types: standard SSD, ultra disk, and PL1 ESSD. The following table describes these storage types.
Disk category | Description |
Standard SSD (Recommended) | Standard SSDs are Elastic Block Storage devices based on a distributed storage architecture. They provide low latency, high performance, durability, and high reliability. These disks can be created, scaled out, and released at any time. |
Ultra disk | Ultra disks are general-purpose Elastic Block Storage devices based on a distributed storage architecture. Their performance and throughput are slightly lower than standard SSDs. They provide durability and high reliability. These disks can be created, scaled out, and released at any time. |
PL1 ESSD (Recommended) | Enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) are a new generation of ultra-high performance disk products from Alibaba Cloud. Based on a new distributed block storage architecture, ESSDs use 25GE networks and Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) technology. This provides higher random read/write capabilities and lower one-way latency. |
For more information about performance levels, see Elastic Block Storage performance. The throughput of a Time Series Database for InfluxDB® instance also depends on the batch size of write requests.
The unit price for storage varies by storage type. The following table provides the details.

Important:
The performance metrics in the following specifications list are reference values based on specific test cases and are for reference only. Actual system performance depends on the specific scenario, system payload, data structure, and query complexity.
Write performance test benchmark: A single write request contains 500 data points. All data is written to a single database. A total of 50,000 time series are written. Each time series contains 5 tag-value pairs and 5 fields.
Read performance test benchmark: Each query scans 10 time series and 10,000 raw data points.
Reference metric descriptions
Write requests per second: The number of write requests processed per second.
Data points written: The number of data points written per second.
Query performance: The number of queries that can be executed per second. Each query scans 10 time series and 10,000 raw data points.

The High-availability Edition uses a triplicate replica architecture. The capacity you select on the purchase page is for a single-node standard SSD. The actual allocated disk capacity for the instance is three times the capacity you purchase. Therefore, the price is calculated as CNY 3.0/GB/month.
The 2-core 8 GB instance type is no longer available for purchase because other instance types offer better stability and user experience. If you have already purchased a 2-core 8 GB instance, you can continue to use it.
