Terms of service for the free trial.
Thank you for applying for a free trial of Alibaba Cloud services.
Before you apply for the trial service, read the relevant standards, rules, and procedures on the official website. You must also read all of these trial service terms. If you do not agree with this service or these terms, or if you do not understand our explanation, do not proceed. By selecting "Agree" and continuing, you agree to abide by these service terms and the related standards, rules, and procedures on the official website. If you have any questions, contact us by submitting a ticket. You cannot later claim that these terms are invalid or request to cancel them on the grounds that you did not read them or did not receive answers to your questions from Alibaba Cloud.
These service terms constitute a valid contract between you and Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd. (hereafter "Alibaba Cloud") for your use of the Service.
In these terms, "Service" refers to the Alibaba Cloud Link IoT Platform. This cloud computing-based platform connects devices to the cloud using various protocols to make them smart, easy to use, and secure.
You understand and agree that Alibaba Cloud currently provides the service for free. You do not need to pay fees to Alibaba Cloud to enable or use the service. Alibaba Cloud may charge for the service in the future. If charges are introduced, Alibaba Cloud will announce the pricing policy and rules at least 10 calendar days in advance. The announcement will be posted on a relevant page of the website or sent as a notification in the console. If you continue to use the service, you must pay in accordance with the new pricing policy and abide by the service terms that are in effect at that time. If you refuse to pay the service fee after billing starts, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to stop providing the service to you and delete your business data.
The permissions and duration of the trial service are based on the service details displayed in the console on the official Alibaba Cloud website. If the trial content changes, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to notify you 10 calendar days in advance. The changes will automatically take effect after the notice period ends.
You understand and acknowledge the following regarding your use of Alibaba Cloud services:
Engage in any activity that undermines or attempts to undermine Network Security. These activities include, but are not limited to, phishing, hacking, or online fraud. You must not host or spread viruses, trojans, or other malicious code. You must not use virtual servers to attack other websites or servers. Examples of such attacks include scanning, sniffing attacks, ARP spoofing, and DDoS attacks.
You must not change or attempt to change Alibaba Cloud's system configurations, or engage in any behavior that compromises system or network security.
You must not modify, translate, adapt, lease, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the software or services provided by Alibaba Cloud, or reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the software.
Copy, distribute, transfer, license, or allow others to use the service without prior written consent from Alibaba Cloud.
You must not distribute email advertisements or spam.
Use the service in any way that violates national or local laws, industry practices, or public ethics, or in a way that harms or may harm the interests of Alibaba Cloud or Alibaba Group.
Limitation and Exclusion of Liability
You understand and agree that while the service is designed for availability and reliability, Alibaba Cloud makes no guarantees regarding service availability or reliability during the free trial. Alibaba Cloud is not responsible for any work you perform or any results you obtain from using the service.
Changes and Termination
You understand and agree that Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to modify, cancel, or enhance any or all features of the service at any time. If features are modified or enhanced, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to require you to use the latest version. Alibaba Cloud will notify you in advance by posting an announcement on the website or by sending a notification in the console.
If you violate any of these service terms, or if Alibaba Cloud believes your use of the service is inappropriate, Alibaba Cloud may take action. This includes, but is not limited to, situations where your website experiences a virus, network intrusion, or attack (such as a DDoS attack) that harms Network Security, or where your behavior harms Alibaba Cloud or affects its connection to the Internet, specific networks, servers, or its own internal network. In such cases, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to suspend or terminate your use of the service at any time without notice. If your actions cause losses to Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to require you to compensate for those losses.
Upon termination in accordance with Clauses 6.1 and 6.2 of the terms of service, Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to delete your data, including the projects and requirements that you created.
Confidentiality
You and Alibaba Cloud must both maintain the confidentiality of each other's confidential information, except where disclosure is required by a government or judicial authority, or where the information is already in the public domain.
Intellectual Property
Alibaba Cloud and its affiliates legally own the intellectual property rights for all their software and content. This includes, but is not limited to, software, images, files, information, data, website architecture, website layout, and web page design. These intellectual property rights include, but are not limited to, trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
Without written consent from Alibaba Cloud and its affiliates, no one may use, modify, reverse compile, copy, publicly transmit, distribute, release, or publish any of Alibaba Cloud's programs or content.
Miscellaneous
You understand and agree that you are responsible for backing up the business data that you use with the service.
Alibaba Cloud reserves the right to modify these service terms at any time. Reasons for modification include, but are not limited to, changes in laws and regulations or adjustments to our business operations and strategies. The modified terms will be published on the Alibaba Cloud website. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the service. If you continue to use the service, you are deemed to have accepted the changes to these terms.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or in violation of any law, that part will be considered severed from these terms. The remainder of these service terms will remain valid and binding.
The laws of the People's Republic of China shall govern these service terms. If a dispute arises during the term of this agreement, both parties must attempt to resolve it through negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the People's Court of Xihu District, Hangzhou City.
