You can manage your WeChat Official Account followers by grouping them with tags, maintaining a blacklist, and adding remarks. When you send articles from your Official Account, you can push them to specific tag groups, but not to followers on the blacklist.

Note

WeChat Official Account follower data is automatically sent to a specified data source. Before you create a WeChat marketing task, you must set up this data source. For more information, see Configure a data source for data return. Follower data is automatically synchronized once per day. New followers are displayed the next day.

Go to Workspace > User Marketing > Reach Marketing > WeChat > Follower Management. By default, the page displays all followers of your linked WeChat Official Account, including their openid, remarks, tags, and source. From the drop-down list in the upper-right corner, you can select an Official Account to view only its followers.

Tag Management

  • To manage tags, click Manage Tags. The tag management panel opens on the right. This panel lists your tags and the number of followers for each, as shown in the following figure. The Starred Group tag is a default tag that you cannot edit or delete.124

    • To create a tag, click New Tag. In the panel on the right, enter a tag name and click Add.

    • To edit a tag, click Rename. In the dialog box that appears, enter a new tag name and click OK.

    • To delete a tag, click Delete. After you confirm the deletion, the tag is removed from all associated followers.

  • To filter by tag, select a tag from the Filter by Tag drop-down list. The follower list then shows only the followers who have that tag.24

If you deselect a tag in the Selected Tags section, the list will no longer show followers with that tag.

  • To add tags, select the followers that you want to tag in the follower list, as shown in the preceding figure. Click Add Tag. In the dialog box that appears, select the tags and click OK. The selected tags are then assigned to the followers.

Blacklist Management

  • To add followers to the blacklist, select them in the follower list and click Add to Blacklist. After you confirm, the selected followers cannot receive messages from the Official Account. They also cannot send messages, leave comments, or give rewards to the account. However, they remain in the follower list.

  • To manage the blacklist, click Manage Blacklist to go to the blacklist page, as shown in the following figure. From the drop-down list in the upper-right corner, you can select an Official Account to view its blacklist.14

    • To remove followers from the blacklist, select them from the list and click Remove from Blacklist. After you confirm, the selected followers can interact with the Official Account again.

Remark Name Management

  • To set a remark name, click the 备注 icon in the Remark Name column. In the dialog box that appears, enter a remark name and click OK.
