A device must use a unique device certificate (ProductKey, DeviceName, and DeviceSecret) issued by the platform to connect to the IoT Platform. For production, purchase activation codes to obtain device certificates. For testing before mass production, the platform provides 50 free test devices for each product. Device certificates for test devices are for product development and testing only and cannot be used for mass production.
Procedure
- Click Next to go to the Device Debugging page for the product.
- In the Select Certified Module/Chip section, select a module that is certified by Alibaba Cloud.
- In the Test Devices section, click Add Test Device.
- Configure the device name.
For Bluetooth Mesh products, the DeviceName must match the device's MAC address. If you enter the DeviceName manually, it must be in the MAC address format. You can leave this field empty to have the system generate a device name automatically.
- Click OK. The device certificate for the test device is displayed.
For Bluetooth Mesh products, the activation credentials (ProductId, DeviceName, and DeviceSecret) shown in the red box in the following figure must be flashed to the device.
