Scenarios
Your company can estimate its business growth and select a few cost-effective RDS instance types to meet its needs. This rule helps you detect RDS instances that do not use one of the approved instance types.
Risk level
Default risk level: Low.
You can change the risk level as needed.
Detection logic
An RDS instance is considered compliant if its instance type matches the parameters that you configure.
An RDS instance is considered non-compliant if its instance type does not match the parameters that you configure. For more information about how to resolve this non-compliance, see Remediation.
