Deleting an account group removes centralized resource visibility for all member accounts in the group. Rules and compliance packages created by the management account or delegated administrator account are permanently deleted, while those created by member accounts are retained.
Prerequisites
You are logged on to the Cloud Config console with a management account or delegated administrator account.
Background information
After you delete an account group, the following changes occur in Cloud Config:

Cloud Config automatically removes the account group tabs from the Overview, Resource, Compliance Package, and Rules pages.

The rules and compliance packages of the account group are permanently deleted.

All compliance results generated in the account group are permanently deleted.

Service-linked roles for Cloud Config of member accounts in the account group are retained.

If all account groups that a member account belongs to are deleted, the member account uses Cloud Config as an independent Alibaba Cloud account.
Procedure

Log on to the Cloud Config console.

In the left-side navigation pane, click Account Group.

On the Account Group page, find the target account group and click Delete in the Actions column.

In the Delete dialog box, click OK.
