This topic describes how to view aggregated details for different error types based on your filter criteria. The procedure is the same for crashes, stuttering, exceptions, and custom exceptions. This topic uses crash information as an example.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the EMAS console, find and click your project to go to the EMAS Overview page.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select R&D Tools.

  3. In the navigation pane on the left, select Crash Analytics, and then select Crash, Stuttering, or Exception.

  4. Set the filter options and click Query.

  5. In the Crash List section, click a crash name to go to the crash aggregation and analysis page.

Basic information

The aggregated details page displays data for a specific time period, grouped by 1-minute, 5-minute, 1-hour, or 1-day intervals.

For example, if the aggregation interval is 1 day, data from the last 7 days is displayed.

Note
  • By default, the 1-minute and 5-minute intervals show data from the last 15 minutes.

  • By default, the 1-hour interval shows data from the last 24 hours.

  • By default, the 1-day interval shows data from the last 7 days.

Parameter

Description

Error Name

The name of the error type.

Crash Count

The total number of crashes during the selected time period.

Crash Rate

Crash Rate = Number of crashes that meet the filter criteria / Total count that meets the filter criteria.

Affected Devices

Affected Devices = Number of devices affected that meet the filter criteria.

Affected Device Rate

Affected Device Rate = Number of affected devices that meet the filter criteria / Number of devices that launched the application and meet the filter criteria.

Aggregation ID

A unique 64-bit ID generated based on the error's features.

Recent Events

The most recent occurrence within the selected time period.

Symbolication Status

Indicates whether the error has been de-obfuscated.

First Seen in Version

The version where this crash type first appeared.

First Occurred

The time when this crash type first occurred.

Tag Settings

Add tags to this crash type.

Version Statistics

Version with error type statistics.

Add tags

In the crash summary, you can enter custom text to create a tag. You can customize or delete these tags.

  1. In the Basic Information section, next to Tag Settings, click Add to add a tag to this crash type.

  2. To add multiple tags, press Enter after you enter a tag, and then click Add to add the next tag.

    Note

    A crash type can have a maximum of 10 tags. Each tag can contain up to 15 characters.

Modify status

In the upper-right corner of the Error Details page, click the Open button to change the status of this error type to New or Fixed.

The default status is New. The statuses are described as follows:

  • NEW: Recently added.

  • The issue is resolved.

  • OPEN: The error has reappeared after being fixed.

  • CLOSE: The item is closed.
