The stream mixing layout management feature lets you preview built-in and custom layouts. This topic describes how to preview these layouts.
Procedure
Log on to the Real-Time Communication (RTC) console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose to open the stream mixing layout management page.
Optional: Preview a built-in layout.
Click the Built-in Layouts tab.
In the list of built-in layouts, find the layout that you want to preview and click Preview in the Actions column.
NoteThe position of a video source is relative to the upper-left corner.
If you change the output preview size, the position and size of the video source are automatically scaled.
Optional: Create a custom layout.
Click the Custom Layouts tab.
Click Add Layout to open the Add Layout page.
Custom
Click Add Video Source and add video sources as needed.
Set the position, size, and stacking order for each video source.
NoteThe stacking order supports up to three layers. A higher number indicates a higher layer. For example, Layer 1 is displayed on top of Layer 0. If you have two overlapping video sources, you can set their layers to 0 and 1.
Enter a Layout Name. Then, select an Application and an Output Preview Size as needed.
Click Save.
Create from a template
Compared to creating a layout from scratch, creating from a template lets you customize a built-in layout. This can significantly reduce the layout creation time. The other steps are similar to creating a layout from scratch and are not described here.
View custom layouts.
To manage a custom layout, click Preview, Edit, or Delete in the Actions column.
NoteYou can use the layouts in bypass stream ingest jobs and cloud recording jobs.
