Attach an ECS instance
This topic describes how to attach and detach an ECS instance in the website console.
Attach an ECS instance:
Click to attach an ECS IP address. You can attach an ECS instance in the website console in one of two ways.
Method 1: Enter the ECS IP address directly.
Method 2: You can use the website's "Administrator Mobile Number" to find the IP addresses of attachable ECS instances.
After you attach the ECS IP address:
The "Micro-site Image" application from Application Templates is automatically installed to My Applications.
The "Domain Name Management" menu for the website is hidden.
On the console homepage, clicking "Attach Domain Name" automatically redirects you to My Applications.
On the console homepage, the "Domain Name" field displays the dedicated IP address.
You can now install and download applications from Application Templates.
You can now perform uploads in My Applications.
Detach an ECS instance:
You can detach an ECS IP address. After the IP address is detached, all applications in My Applications are deleted and the "Domain Name Management" menu is restored. Applications that were previously attached to a domain name can no longer access the detached ECS server.
