ApsaraDB for MyBase offers multiple editions, such as the Open Edition and the Managed Edition. You can choose the edition that best suits your needs.
MyBase Open Edition
ApsaraDB for MyBase Open Edition decouples host resources, database engines, and database management tools. MyBase Open Edition gives you root permissions for hosts and full parameter permissions for the database kernel. You can also manage and maintain the database on your own. MyBase provides an experience similar to an Internet data center (IDC). It is more flexible and open than fully managed database services, which allows it to meet a wider range of needs.

MyBase Managed Edition
The MyBase Managed Edition provides ApsaraDB services for MySQL and Redis. It supports host resource over-allocation and provides partial permissions for the database and operating system (OS). This edition offers the convenience and flexibility of ApsaraDB services while meeting enterprise requirements for resource utilization and flexible scheduling.
