This feature is available only in the AI Premium Edition. For more information about the differences between editions, see Editions.
What is Active Directory authentication?
Active Directory (AD) is a centralized directory and identity authentication service from Microsoft. It is used to manage users, computers, and other resources in an enterprise network. AD authentication simplifies the mailbox logon process and increases security through unified identity verification.
Procedure
1. Log on to the Alibaba Mail domain management interface with an administrator account.
2. Go to Enterprise Customization > Identity Source Management and click Start Configuration or Create.
Select Microsoft Active Directory.

Enter the Display Name and Server Address, and then click Save.

By default, the status is Off. To use AD authentication for mailbox logon, change the status to On.
Before you enable AD authentication, make sure that a postmaster account is created in Active Directory. Otherwise, you might not be able to log on to your mailbox.
