Backup and disaster recovery
Alibaba Finance Cloud supports architectures such as intra-city active-active, disaster recovery, and the two-region three-data-center architecture.
1. Intra-city active-active
Intra-city active-active and disaster recovery are basic features of Alibaba Finance Cloud. Major Alibaba Cloud product components, such as networking and databases, support intra-city active-active configurations.
You can build a high-availability (HA) intra-city active-active architecture in 30 minutes.
2. Two-region three-data-center
Deployment mode: The same business applications can be deployed across three data centers in two Alibaba Cloud cities. The primary site and the intra-city disaster recovery center operate in Active mode, while the geo-disaster recovery center operates in Standby mode. Applications access the same database instance. A copy of the data is stored in each of the two intra-city data centers.
Data replication: ApsaraDB RDS and Object Storage Service (OSS) provide unidirectional, cascaded data replication. Data is replicated from the primary site to the intra-city disaster recovery center, and then to the geo-disaster recovery center.
Failover and failback: To enable cross-region failover and service recovery, DNS redirects the production IP address from the primary site to the disaster recovery center. If the primary site fails, the secondary site continues to provide services.
