Database management
Website database management provides a central place to manage your website data, including articles, products, and AI custom data tables. You can add, edit, and maintain the data in a visual interface and bind it to pages on your website frontend for display.
The system provides two types of data tables:
Pre-built data table (Recommended for articles and products): Designed for common scenarios such as blogs and product showcases, it provides ready-to-use basic features such as Article Management and Product Management.
AI custom data table: Describe your business requirements in natural language, and the system automatically generates a dynamic data table schema that matches your business functions. You can preview, edit, and maintain the data to meet changing business requirements.
Article management
Create and manage the article data displayed on your website, such as company news, blog posts, and industry updates.
View and filter articles
On the Article Management page, you can find and manage articles in the following ways:
Search for articles: In the search box above the list, enter all or part of an article title to find matching articles.
Filter articles: Filter articles by Article Category, Status (Published or Offline), or modification time range.
Batch operations: Select multiple articles, and then run batch Delete, Export, Publish, and Take Offline operations.

Product categories support a parent-child hierarchy. On the website frontend, clicking a parent category menu displays the products of all its subcategories, and clicking a subcategory displays only the products in that subcategory. To remove the number displayed after a category name, ask the AI in the chat to delete the unwanted data.
AI custom data table
When the pre-built Article Management and Product Management features cannot meet your business needs, you can create an AI custom data table.
For example, you can use this feature to create an "Offline Stores" list.
Create an AI custom data table
Provide a prompt: In the chat, clearly describe the data table schema that you need.
Example 1 (create a store table): "I need a store list that contains the store name, address, phone number, and business hours."
Example 2 (create a course table): "Help me create a course table with five fields: course name, course summary, instructor, price, and start date."
Result: Based on your description, the system automatically generates the corresponding data table and its management page under the Database Management menu.
Manage an AI custom data table
After an AI custom data table is created, it appears in the left-side menu of Database Management. You can adjust the table by describing your requirements to the AI.
The Database Management page does not support adding, modifying, or deleting fields directly. You must complete all field operations, including renaming a field, in the AI chat. For example, to add a field named XX to the member table, send the AI the message "Add a field named XX to the member table."
Link data to frontend pages
Data managed in the admin console (articles, products, and AI custom data tables) must be bound to page components on your website frontend before it can be displayed.
Bind a data source: In the page editor, select Article List, Product List, or an AI custom data table as the data source. For more information, see Select a data source.
Best practices
Plan ahead: Before you enter data, plan the data structures that you need.
For example, an education website may need a "Course Table", an "Instructor Table", and an "Article Table". You can use the AI custom data table feature to create the "Course" and "Instructor" tables, and use the pre-built Article Management feature to publish teaching and research news.
Use AI effectively: When you chat with the AI, use clear and specific prompts. State the name of the data table that you need, and the system automatically adds the table.
For example, instead of saying "I need a list", say "Help me create a course table with five fields: course name, course summary, instructor, price, and start date."
Maintain regularly: Periodically use the Filter feature to check draft data that has remained Offline for a long time, and use Delete in Batch operations to move the data to the Recycle Bin. This keeps the admin console clean and efficient.
FAQ
How do I switch an AI custom data table to a pre-built data table? If you created a custom product table or article table with the AI, we recommend that you switch to the pre-built Product Management and Article Management features. The pre-built tables are structurally optimized for these two common scenarios and provide more complete field settings and a better operating experience.
You can send the following message to the AI in the chat, and the system automatically completes the switch: Use the article/product tables and the article/product category tables in supabase-ddl/assets/cms_tables.sql to replace the article/product tables and the article/product category tables in the current database, synchronize the data of the article/product tables and the article/product category tables to the new tables, and align the columns of the article table/product table with the columns in supabase-ddl/assets/cms_tables.sql by modifying the columns.
