First, documents are converted into high-quality, low-dimensional vectors by a text embedding model and stored in DashVector. This vectorization is handled by the Embedding API from Model Studio (Bailian). When a user asks a question, the query is also vectorized. DashVector then retrieves the most relevant text snippets from the source documents. Finally, these snippets and the original question are combined into an augmented prompt, which is sent to Qianwen to generate a final, context-aware answer.
