When you create an Alibaba Mail account, email data is automatically stored on Alibaba Cloud mail servers.

Email data is stored in your mailbox by default. Access the webmail client at mail.yourdomain.com or https://qiye.aliyun.com/.

Storage capacity varies by edition. The Standard Edition offers unlimited storage.

When a corporate mailbox with a storage limit becomes full, existing emails are preserved but you cannot save or receive new emails. Monitor your storage regularly. Alibaba Mail sends notifications based on usage levels.

Emails are also removed from the webmail client when deleted by an inbox rule, a POP client that deletes emails after retrieval, or a manual deletion from an IMAP-synced local client.

Deleting a mailbox account permanently removes all its emails from the server. Proceed with caution.

Deleted emails are moved to the [Deleted] folder and remain viewable. Permanently deleting an email removes it from all Webmail folders.

To recover permanently deleted emails, use the mailbox recycle bin on the domain management page. Recover lost or accidentally deleted emails.
