This topic describes how to configure Alibaba Mail in the NetEase Mail Master client.
Procedure
1. Launch the NetEase Mail Master client, click Add Account, enter your email account and password (if using a third-party client password, generate one in settings first; for instructions, see Enable and set a third-party client password), and then click Server Configuration.
2. In the Server Configuration window, select a protocol and enter the required server and port information.
If you configure the POP3 protocol, we recommend selecting the Keep messages on server option. Otherwise, emails are deleted from the server after a period of time.
We recommend using SSL encryption for enhanced security.
The server configurations are as follows:
POP3 protocol settings
Incoming mail server: pop.qiye.aliyun.com or pop3.[$Domain]
Outgoing mail server: smtp.qiye.aliyun.com or smtp.[$Domain]
Port:
SSL encryption: The incoming mail server (POP3) port is 995, and the outgoing mail server (SMTP) port is 465.
Unencrypted: The incoming mail server (POP3) port is 110, and the outgoing mail server (SMTP) port is 25.
[$Domain] represents the domain name associated with your email account. If you want to use your custom domain name, you must configure its DNS resolution first. Otherwise, the configuration will not take effect. For DNS resolution instructions, see Alibaba Mail domain name resolution.
IMAP protocol settings
Incoming mail server: imap.qiye.aliyun.com or imap.[$Domain]
Outgoing mail server: smtp.qiye.aliyun.com or smtp.[$Domain]
Port:
SSL encryption: The incoming mail server (IMAP) port is 993, and the outgoing mail server (SMTP) port is 465.
Unencrypted: The incoming mail server (IMAP) port is 143, and the outgoing mail server (SMTP) port is 25.
3. After entering the information, click OK to complete the settings. The client automatically verifies your email account and server information. After successful verification, you can start using your account.
