Resolve 'not authorized to send mail to this account' error

Scenario

An Alibaba Mail account cannot receive mail from external domains. The sender gets this bounce message:

You are temporarily not authorized to send mail to this account.

Solution

Contact your mailbox administrator for authorization, then ask the sender to resend.

This occurs because the account is not configured to receive external mail. To enable it:

1. Log on to your mailbox with an administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management and search for the account.

2. On the Edit Account page, set Receive from External Domains to Allow and save.
