Description
You cannot log on to the Alibaba Mail web client.
Cause
The possible causes are as follows:
1. The domain name associated with Alibaba Mail does not have an Internet Content Provider (ICP) filing. According to Article 18 of the Administrative Measures for the Filing of Non-commercial Internet Information Services, access to domain names that do not have a website ICP filing is strictly controlled. The following adjustments have been made to the Alibaba Mail web client logon page:
The features for editing the custom logon page, logo, and company information in webmail domain management have been suspended.
Existing settings are not affected. However, you cannot make changes or edits during this period.
2. If the domain name associated with your Alibaba Mail does not have an ICP filing, you cannot use the root domain name or second-level domains to log on to the Alibaba Mail web client.
3. The Alibaba Mail service and the domain name service have expired.
4. The canonical name (CNAME) record of the associated domain name does not point to the Alibaba Cloud server.
5. There is a problem with the browser.
Solutions
Check the following items:
1. If the domain name associated with your Alibaba Mail does not have an ICP filing, you can log on to your mailbox using the general logon URL for Alibaba Mail. For more information, see the following points:
If your mailbox domain name has an ICP filing, logging on to the web client and sending or receiving emails are not affected.
If you still want to log on to the Alibaba Mail web client using a second-level domain, complete the ICP filing for your mailbox domain name with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). If your website is hosted on Alibaba Cloud, log on to the Alibaba Cloud ICP Filing system to submit your filing.
Check the ICP filing status of your company's domain name in advance and follow these instructions to avoid logon issues.
2. Check whether the Alibaba Mail service and the domain name service have expired. If they have expired, you must renew them promptly.
3. Check whether the CNAME record for mail.[$Domain] is correct. For information about the correct CNAME record value for Alibaba Mail mail.[$Domain], see How do I configure DNS records for an Alibaba Cloud domain name that uses Alibaba Mail?
[$Domain] is the domain name associated with your mailbox. If you are not using Alibaba Cloud DNS, see How do I configure DNS records for a domain name not registered with Alibaba Cloud to use Alibaba Mail?.
4. If you cannot open the page in one browser, try another browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
5. If you cannot open the page in multiple browsers and both the Alibaba Mail and domain name services are active, perform the following steps on your local computer to run a test:
a. Go to Start > Run , enter cmd , and press Enter .
b. Run the following command to test network connectivity.
ping qiye.aliyun.com
Or
ping mail.[$Domain]
After the command finishes, run the following command to test the network path.
tracert qiye.aliyun.com
Or
tracert mail.[$Domain]
The output is similar to the following:
