This topic describes how to create and delete departments.
How to create a department?
Log on to the domain administrator console with the postmaster administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management and click Create Department. This action creates a first-level department in the root directory.
Note: You can create only one first-level department.
How to create a sub-department?
Method 1: Log on to the domain administrator console with the postmaster administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management. Select the first-level department and click Create Sub-department to create a sub-department mailbox within that department.
Method 2: Log on to the domain administrator console with the postmaster administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management. Hover over the target first-level department. A drop-down menu icon appears on the right. Click the icon and then click Create Department.
How to delete a department?
The same procedure applies to deleting both first-level departments and sub-departments.
Method 1: Log on to the domain administrator console with the postmaster administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management. Select the target first-level department or sub-department, and then click Delete Department.
Method 2: Log on to the domain administrator console with the postmaster administrator account. Go to Organization and Users > Mailbox Management. Hover over the target first-level department or sub-department. A drop-down menu icon appears on the right. Click the icon and then click Delete Department.
